Staying Home, Safely

Most people would rather stay in their own home than move. The obstacle is rarely the house itself โ€” it's a few specific rooms and transitions that stopped working. Those are fixable.

Why Families Call Us

The Bathroom Comes First

It's where the majority of household falls happen. Wet tile, a high tub wall and nothing solid to hold onto is the combination that sends people to the hospital. It's also the single highest-impact room to fix.

We Work With Adult Children

Often the person calling isn't the person living in the home. We're used to coordinating with family in another state, explaining options plainly, and making sure everyone understands the plan before work starts.

Right-Sized, Not Oversold

Sometimes the answer is a full bathroom remodel. Often it's three grab bars, better lighting and a threshold ramp. We tell you which one you're actually looking at.

How It Works

1

Talk it through

Tell us what's changed โ€” a fall, a new diagnosis, a hospital discharge, or just planning ahead.

2

Walk the home

We go room by room and identify the real hazards, not a generic checklist.

3

Written plan and price

You get priorities, options and a clear number before anything is committed to.

4

Work that respects the home

Clean, considerate installation โ€” and a home that still looks like a home, not a hospital.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an aging-in-place contractor?

An aging-in-place contractor modifies an existing home so someone can keep living there safely as their mobility changes โ€” instead of moving to assisted living. That usually means bathroom safety work, removing trip hazards, widening doorways, improving lighting and adding support where it's needed.

How much do home modifications cost?

It varies widely by scope. Grab bars and small safety work are typically a few hundred dollars. A walk-in shower conversion or full accessible bathroom remodel generally runs into the thousands. We assess the home and give you a written price before any work begins.

Will Medicare pay for home modifications?

Original Medicare generally does not cover home modifications like grab bars or walk-in showers. Some Medicare Advantage plans, VA benefits, Arizona long-term care programs and certain nonprofit grants may help. We can tell you what we see families use, but you should confirm coverage directly with your plan or benefits office.

Do you work with families who live out of state?

Yes โ€” very often. Many of our conversations start with an adult child in another state who is worried about a parent in Green Valley or SaddleBrooke. We can walk you through the assessment and options by phone and keep you in the loop throughout.
